The One Left Behind By Willo Davis Roberts

Mandy is just like every other girl her age, but darkness lies inside her. A year ago her twin sister, Angel, died leaving Mandy grieving to this day. Though she is only eleven she is all alone in her big house. Her family has all left thinking someone was still there with Mandy, but they were wrong. Loneliness consumes Mandy bit by bit, until she finds 2 boys. One is her own age and the other isn't quite 2 years old. They too are alone, but the boys are running away from men who are trying to hurt them. Mandy isn't alone any longer but what can she do to protect people she doesn't even know when its a struggle to take care of herself? Can Mandy really protect these boys until someone comes back, or will secrets be buried deeper in darkness if she fails? All Mandy wants is to have Angel back, but she's not coming back like in their games they played. An interesting and short novel to kill some time with if you have nothing else to do. I give this book a 3 words out of 5 for the mystery.

Eighth Grade Bites

How would it feel to think your the only one of your kind? Vlad is just another teenage boy who is trying to get passed high school and try to get the girl of his dreams. But can he be more? Vlad is in fact a vampire, but when one of the teachers from his new school disappears without a trace, could another vampire be involved? The new substitute teacher shows them the research list, could Vlad really handle finding out what others from his class think about his race? But things just keep getting worse and worse. Could things ever go back to the way they were, or is Vlad and his aunt doomed to be stuck down the drain without any light in sight? I give this book a 4 words out of 5 because I just love the title. Don't you? This book really draws you in from the very beginning. Spellbinding some would call it. Heather Brewer did a fantastic job with details. Its almost like your stand right beside them the whole way. Recommended to those of you who truly believe in the title. Found at your excellent school library, can't wait for you to join.

Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side By Beth Fantaskey

A true love story way beyond Romeo and Juliet. Jessica isn't who she seems, a dark past unknown to most is coming back to bite her. Literally. When Lucius barges into her world she must face the past and forget about explaining the unnatural. Jessica must face the truth dead on if she wants the guy of her dreams, but is a good guy who is always there the one to choose? Or is Mr. Tall, Dark and handsome here to swipe the competition away? Can your senior year get any worse then having guy problems and learning about a part of you that you didn't even know existed? I personally give this book a 5 words out of 5 for all the blood mixed tear stains I know have to scrub out of my coffin. Recommended to those of you who need a darker and longer version of Romeo and Juliet that not just mumbo jumbo that's been published. Found at your excellent school library, I'll be waiting for you to pay a visit. If you dare.

Reincarnation

If you die, will you be reborn? When you meet that one person who sends the sparks flying, if you both die will you meet again in heaven or will you meet again on Earth. A young man and a young woman are destined to be together but something always goes wrong. Centuries pass by like the wind as their lives are reborn again and again. Starting before the Egyptians and going along till a time not far from ours. Can their love and experience in past lives bring them together and keep them like that. In each life they die, but when you are hurt and then die it will effect your up coming life. Can one love story really last for centuries? Can their love break all the rules in order for it to stay aflame? This is the kind of story for a person with a passion for love. Ever wonder if your love has lasted forever? This story could reawaken your past lives and restore your memories of past lovers. I give this book a 4 words out of 5 because at one point in the middle I got a little bored because the same thing always seems to happen. But other than that the author did an excellent job doing all the research to make this book even more excellent.

Gentlemen By Michael Northrop

In a world with teens with problems, could a teachers plans on getting his class to listen get him killed? When one of the out casts group members disappears there is only one place to look, Mr. Haberman. He has been calling them gentlemen for a long time and the only one in the school who actually notices them. But can Bones hold in all that hate for a teacher who has been handing him F's with a smirk on his face? Or is all this going in the direction nobody could predict before hand? Could the mysterious barrel Mr. Haberman brought to class one day actually hold the body of the teenage teen named Tommy? This a an excellent book for people who are mature. This book is not recommended to kids who are in a really low grade. I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 for all the mysterious actions and hints in Bones's eyes that you can only tell at the end is darkness. A book that is interesting, mysterious, and could possibly happen. Something to think about when you look in your friends eyes. Found at your excellent school library.

Scribbler of Dreams

A truly fast paced novel to sink your teeth into. When your a teenager who has been taught nothing but hate towards another family, that's the one thing you hang onto when nothing else is in view. But when you fall in love with one of the people your supposed to hate, how much do you have to change? For generations the Crutchfields and the Malone families have hated each other, but is all this hate all based on lies and heartbreak from the past. But a lie doesn't bring happiness and you can't change who you are, but you can change who you will become. The beauty and hidden words of this world aren't always seen or understood, but with every beauty ugliness will swarm then dissipate. Can every love story have a fresh start, or is the past the only thing we have for comfort and support that makes living the fullest? I personally finished this book in a day, and couldn't put it down. I give this book a 5 words out of 5 for all the tear I shed in such a short period of time. Truly excellent, a must read by all those who love a happy ending. Found at your excellent school library.
