Acceleration by Graham McNamee

Something bad is going to happen. But only seventeen year old Duncan knows. Nobody believed him when he brought in a diary of a soon to be serial killer. A diary a cover that feels like human skin. Disturbing knowledge is hidden in this book. But who is the mysterious writer? All Duncan can do is find the soon to be victim. But which one is it? Two trains leading into danger. Can Duncan stop this lunatic before the time ticks away. The diary has been sitting there for around two weeks now. Is Duncan and his friends too late? Or will he be just in time? And excellent book that defines and identifies a serial killers mind. I give it a 5 words out of 5 for the extreme action that befalls these friends. Can be found in your school library, check it out!

Flying Solo

There is a school. A school with a small sixth grade classroom, but no teacher. What if for a whole school day you ran the classes by yourself. For 6 hours you were in charge. There are different sides to this story, all of them contain one simple rule they must all listen to. KIDS RULE! Could it just be an experiment or just a mix up? But one things for sure, we are responsible in our own ways and we all RULE! I give this book a 5 words out of 5 because kids do rule. A must read for those of you who wonder what it would be like to not have a teacher! I know my class wouldn't be like this!

Tenth Grade Bleeds By Heather Brewer

Could Vlad's life get any worse. A thirst is building up in him that has never happened before and someone in his life goes missing. Can Vlad really juggle his normal life with his new girlfriend and being the one vampire/human that will enslave all man kind? But still his father's journal keeps him strong, until an old enemy decides to convince Vlad to hand it over. Could his fathers last words be the end of Vlad or could they just be something burned in the back of Vlad's mind? Everyone is in danger around Vlad, even those he cares about the most. How will Vlad survive these new challenges? Alone or with those he loves? A great addition to the Vladimir Todd series. A must read for those in grade 10. 5 words out of 5 for a great ending. It might be in the school library if you look hard enough.

Ninth Grade Slays

Vlad is still alive. For now. He is having difficulty with his best friend since one of his relatives is coming to town. Can Vlad and this new guy get along and still share Henry? Or will Vlad be stuck with his aunt Nelly for a listening ear? Everything seems to be going great. Joss is just like Henry in many ways but different also, but can Joss still be hiding a secret from Henry and Vlad that could end badly? A slayers in town but it could be anyone. But who would suspect someone very close to Vlad? An excellent book so I personally give this book a 5 words out of 5. I am not too sure if this book is in the library so check with Mrs. Woodward to be sure. An excellent read for those in Grade 9 who think its tough for them! Happy reading!

Losing Forever by Gayle Friesen

What if the fairy tale Cinderella was true? Can the evil stepsister steal Cinderella's true love away? For young Jessica her life couldn't get much worse. Her little sister had died years before, her parents are divorced, and now her mother is remarrying! Whats even worse is that her new father, Cal, has a daughter too. Angela is perfect on the surface. She is the daughter to the perfect little family she now lives in. Can Jessica get used to being a new version of Cinderella or is her world going to get worse when Sam and her dad get "different". Will Jessica have a new sister, or an eternal tormentor from this marriage? An excellent book so I give it a 5 words out of 5. I literally didn't want to put this book down. Found in the school library. Just ask Mrs. Woodward.
