Welcome to the world of Zoey. For her life will never be the same when she gets marked as a fledgling vampyre and has to be sent to the House of Night school. Life is tougher then before because now she has to worry about boys, school, friends, fitting in and now the new and most difficult one of all the change. A fledgling vampyre must survive the change in order to become a full vampyre and to complete their tattoos. Some don't make it though and die a violent death. Now Zoey has the chance to change her name and her life in the name of her new goddess Nyx. But can Zoey get used to this new life and get over the life she once had and the boyfriend she still loves? This is an excellent book with a new take on vampyres! The second I read the first paragraph I was hooked and waiting for more. For those of you who love vampire books that have already started so you don't have to wait, this is the book for you. I personally give this book a 5 words out of 5 for the new view, the use of elements, and the fact that it just ROCKED! Check out your excellent school library for a chance to read the addictive House of Night series.

Another Faust

In this amazing world of ours there is even more mystery then we care for just under the surface. Most of the famous people in our history are hiding a secret, they've all sold their souls for one reason or another. These five children have all been chosen for one thing, their souls. But is a soul? Some would sell theirs for fame and fortune without a second thought for they don't understand the consequences or what will happen afterwards. Each child has a gift, each one is completely different but powerful in every way. Each one of them has a secret wish that can be fulfilled the easy way or the hard way. They chose the supposedly easy way. Their new guardian that took them from their homes will bargain with them, trading a dead for a new power or gift. Can five 15 year old really sell their souls for things that don't even matter? Or will they be doomed to stay at their prison filled with shadows? I personally don't know what to think of this book. The book was an excellent read though so I'll give it a 4.5 words out of 5. Interesting and mysterious are just some of the words I would use to describe this book. Come check out your excellent school library or talk to Mrs. Woodward about finding this book. Happy hunting!
